Which image file does the Discourse application use?

Hi,

Just trying to get to the bottom of why our communities icon doesn’t appear when it’s added to the Discourse application. Is there a definitive guide to which of the icons / logo files added in settings ( /admin/site_settings/category/required ) appears where? We have images added to all of these and it still won’t show up so I suspect it’s a file format issue, or perhaps theres some cache thing going on.

Don’t add logos that way – use the wizard at /wizard first.

I’m afraid I’ve inherited responsibility for the site so I’m not sure what my predecessors steps were in setting things up.

What is the potential impact of running through that wizard on a live site? Horrible repercussions if I inadvertently change a setting incorrectly, or fairly safe to do? Does it apply changes as you go or at the end of the process?

Unfortunately it looks like I can’t get past the third step which requires you to set up a welcome topic, which we already have and the wizard is not picking up, so I’m wary of adding anything in there as I don’t want a new one suddenly appearing.

Is there no other way to set this image?

I think you are misreading the instructions for that step, there is nothing about a welcome topic in the wizard.
